Street Stencil Number 1

Along my usual path to the Nautilus Plus (gym) in the Village, along Rue St. Andre,  I pass this particular bit of street art.  It has been here for a while now, I think since we moved to Montreal. 

 I would love to know if there are in fact a couple of gals and a cat living in the building this is sprayed on.  It would be great if they put it there.

Lesbian Family

Almost parallel to this on Amherst is the shop that advertises Lesbian haircuts (for anyone) 15$.  I will grab a photo of that sign next time I am down that way.  It is another favourite of mine.

I am planning on using this site to document some of the many examples of street art that I come across in my travels around town, so stay tuned.

It is a craptacularly rainy day here in Montreal.  Although we are spared the oppressive humidity that our loved ones in Southern Ontario are enduring.

Enjoying the fact that Paul McCartney has become a lightning rod for certain Quebec separatists, losers.

Here I go adding the first image to the blog, guess it better be a good one. Oh the pressure.

Mottle Cat

This one will do, my constant companion and office mate.  She is a little old now, but hanging in there.  Tries to be good, succeeds sometimes. All in all not bad to have around.

A source of some guilt (she is terribly needy) when we are both out of town, she generally sleeps most of the day unless she is hungry or  bored or both.

Since I spend most of the time with her she has become “my cat”, which means I am subjected to her harassment more than others. 

Any shyness that was present in her younger years is completely gone now, except when it comes to small children, whom she hates with a white hot passion.

Kinda cute still. huh?

Purpose if required

I suppose this needs some sort of purpose or direction, a theme if you will.  I am not particularly good at random thoughts but will do my best. At this point I think I am most interested in sharing my thoughts and images about my newly adopted city of Montreal. We have been here for over a year and a half and I am finally feeling like maybe I have something interesting to say.  So that will be the general direction, of course I reserve the right to be as tangential as I want.
